What A Mess!

Well we are now 2/2, that is 2 spigots to the hoses and their pipes have broken. The first one was in the laundry room and Michael was able to fix that. Yesterday I had a babysitter who called and said water was in the basement. I assumed it was the pipe that Michael already fixed. Wrong! It was the one from the front of the house. We ended up with several inches of water in our basement. So anyway we are in the process of having a restoration company come in and fix everything. At the moment they have taken out the pad under the carpet, sucked the water out of the carpet, and there are 8 very large and noisy fans going downstairs 24 hours a day for the next 3 days. Next, comes a plumber to fix the pipe and removal of the baseboards. We spent most of last night moving everything out of the kids' bedrooms and most of the family room downstairs. We were lucky that everything was spared major damage and should be just fine, including all of the furniture.
